Coastal Scents African Black Soap is the real deal! This soap is imported directly from Ghana, Africa where members of the Sekaf Village manufacture and produce it from all natural ingredients. The Ghanaians have used the African Black Soap for centuries.

Through continued support from Coastal Scents, as well as hard work and dedication from American volunteers, the Nuna Village Cooperative was established in 2008. This cooperative project called Project Ghana was created to offer rural Ghanaian women an opportunity to supplement family income and enhance their self-reliance through employment. 

Project Ghana allows the villages to produce and sell multiple products including: Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Nuna Soap, and much more. Coastal Scents will continue to work with and support the efforts of the Nuna Village Cooperative, as well as remain a primary seller of their products.
