Citrus sinensis Organically Grown, not certified, Italy Cold Pressed, Peel only. More intensely aromatic than the sweet orange we are familiar with, Blood Orange adds a sparkling citrus note to blends. Therapeutically, it is very similar to sweet orange in its uses, although one source does say it is the most antidepressant of the citrus oils. Try blending with patchouli or rosewood for aromatherapy baths. Not intended for internal use.

| This is a delightful scent. Perhaps it is the association of orange scent with childhood Christmas stockings that lightens my mood. Being an essential oil it does not have that offensive under note of stinky 'carrier oil' that many fragrance oils have. Scents are personal, but I love the purity of this scent and recommend it as an inexpensive pick-me-up. I put 3-4 drops in my bath and put some on cotton balls as a room scent. Be careful where you place any oils as they can effect furniture finish. | |
