Storage:

Production Process:

SUN DRYING
The skin of the plantain is sun dried to a specific texture and then roasted in clay like oven. During drying, the heat is kept at a constant temperature in order to maintain a particular smell, color and texture of the dried plantain leaves.

ROASTING OF PLANTAIN SKIN
The plantain leaves are then roasted. The roasting process determines the color of the African black soap. The longer the roasting process, the darker the black soap.

MIXING OF PLANTAIN WITH PALM KERNEL OIL
After the roasting process, the plantain skin is mixed with pure, unrefined, natural Palm Kernel Oil. This process leads to the formation of the soap. No scents, preservatives, chemicals, color enhancers, dye, charcoal or fragrances are added during mixing.

Customer Reviews

5 Stars better than I expected!

I was really nervous about ordering the soap from the mixed reviews. I am extreamly happy I did tho. It looked exactly as it does in the pic and it is amazing. I have only used it a few times but my skin looks and feels wonderful. The smell is very nice too, very earthy, which I like. I can see why some people have said it is drying, because while I was showering with it, on parts of my skin that had already been rinsed it felt dryed out, but after I dryed off, the feeling went away. It is an amazing product... I am going to recommend this to everybody!!!

I was so excited to try the African black soap. I have had it over a month and stopped using it about 2 weeks ago. When i got it, i started using it straight away, yes, it does clean the skin well, but it is extremely drying. I do have very dry skin, and perhaps it didn't help that i didnt have a really good moisteriser on hand. It just made my breakouts dry and rashy. My skins nearly back to normal, so i might try it again soon. My hopes were so high for this product and it has so many great reviews, so hopefully a good moisteriser is the key.

I was very pleased when using this product this is what soap is suppose to do! It has a great lather it gets rid of oil and dirt. My husband works on cars all day. This soap keeps my hubby hands looking like he never works. Also I have very oily skin and I use it just about everyday and dont have to use matte primer anymore.
