4 Stars Must be foiled or fixed

  Sometimes I don't like to prime with UDPP or a shadestick, like for instance if I'm layering light washes of color for daytime. This mica needs something to adhere with in order to maintain the sheen and overall burnished gold look; it won't work to just lightly wash it for a super sheer shadowy gold sheen, as almost all the gold will fall out and leave you only with a somewhat chalky black powder. I was unfortunately hoping for that super sheer shadowy gold wash... however, being incredibly affordable, and indeed beautiful when foiled or primed+packed (there's a picture somewhere in the reviews), I don't regret the purchase. Just a warning however: if you are looking for something to do a sheer dark gold wash, this won't work.
