| Thank you so much, for sharing your knowledge I have been looking for something like this for a while and am so glad I didn't have to do all the work. I have quite a bit of info that I have found over the last few months and in collage ( I went for cosmetology, at first because I wanted to be a color consultant) but, that was 10 years ago. So I had a little info about how to get started, but had a lot of work in front of me to get all I needed. I just thought you need the ego boost and a pat on the back for helping someone like me who would have put the time in to get all the info so I could make makeup just for me & maybe my friends. I couldn't have even started to put all my notebooks & notes of MY mumbo jumbo that I might understand, in a week from writing it, in a book that make since to me, much less in a book for anybody, to get anything out of including myself(LOL)!! Introduction
Hello, my name is Kathy, I am 45 years old and live in Naples Florida. It is my pleasure to introduce you to the fundamentals of understanding and blending mineral cosmetics.
I was born and raised in the beauty industry, being an esthetician, along with my love of skin care and makeup, I have used and tried just about every base of cosmetics imaginable. I began my journey into learning everything I could about loose mineral cosmetics nearly two years ago. From the first time I purchased mica mineral based powder and used it as an eye shadow I was completely hooked. I immediately took the next steps along with my partner into building a business that is based around everything mineral, skin care and my love of fragrance.
Finding accurate information on blending minerals became very challenging. The more I read the more controversy I found. Now this was very confusing for me, “use this, and don’t use that “. One said yes, the other said no. So I kept on reading and purchasing every piece of information I could get my hands on. Ultimately it took ignoring the controversy and creating over and over until I was satisfied with the end results. It’s a good thing for me I am a dedicated note taker, I have several books with all my information from the first day up until now.
Listening and communicating with customers was the biggest help of all. Most of the ones I spoke with were just as confused as I was in the beginning.
Here I will take you through all the steps that I myself have been through in learning about the basics of blending and applying cosmetic minerals. I want to help save you as much confusion as possible. If you are a beginner I know you will have many questions and uncertainties. This book and its information will be a staple for you to follow as you begin your personal journey of understanding these minerals.
I feel it is first of all necessary to know your ingredients, the base powders that are combined and how they work together to create the final product. In the end this is going to save you time, frustration and money. Once you have read my book you will definitely understand the importance of ingredient knowledge.
You will also need the proper equipment at hand in order to create quality cosmetics; this will be explained and shown to you in our photos throughout this eBook.
