I love how I was able to choose the eye shadows instead of the company choosing them for me. Specially since I don’t always put makeup.
Unique shade; easy to apply & blend.
Good shade for darkening the outter corner & crease but easier to wear than your basic black. It’s right in between a mid-tone & dark-tone so it is very versatile. Neutral; will work for both warm & cool looks. Matte. Blends out nicely without losing all the pigment but also doesn’t give you too much pigment to create a mess on the eye. I generally love Coastal Scents products and these hot pots give me the ability to create custom palettes. Incredible options for a very affordable price.
Good quality just wish it had more depth to the color
Black Berry Review
This is a very dark shade, almost black in tone. It seems like a matte to me and it's harder to blend than any other CS shadow I have and it's very patchy- I find it's not worth the effort most of the time so I rarely use it. I bought it specifically for smoking out my outer corner but I find I have to pack the color on and it won't blend, no matter what I do so it doesn't work for smoking out anything. It's a very pretty color but way to hard to work with, at least for me. It's the only CS shadow I have issues with, and I still use it but I will be purchasing something else, probably Opal Black soon because I love CS shadows and I'm sure there's a great one to replace it. There is some fallout but I think that is true of every shadow that's not a cream and it wipes away very easily. I have a medium and fairly neutral (barely warm side) skin tone. Also, I strongly recommend looking at some swatches first in all my reviews because the colors usually don't look the same as they do on the CS site- to me at least - and sometimes it's a night and day difference. I'd hate to see someone get a color they aren't expecting and judge them all based on that one experience because the shadows are amazing with very few exceptions.
I ordered a good amount of shadows and all but one worked phenomenally especially for the price worth every penny
