Beautiful yellow transition shade
I love to use this semi-opaque shadow as a transitioning shade when making a brighter warm eyelook (with f.ex. red or orange toned shades) or sunset eye. It is very buildable, so you can achieve a quite opaque yellow. At least it appears very pigmented on my fair skin. Blends perfectly.
Nice, bright matte yellow! In person, this Hot Pot is brighter than it appears on my monitor and slightly more orange and a teeny bit darker. Blends into the skin nicely without looking dusty or chalky. Matte yellow eyeshadows tend to need a little work to build up the pigment, but this one requires a lot less work than a yellow I have from another very popular brand. It builds up pretty quickly . I appreciate that I can use it to subtly blend with or concentrate it more for a brighter yellow look! This looks nice with Venetian Gold as part of a bright yellow-y gold look!
Midas Gold is a great color. It's a very warm yellow without being mustard-y green. It's not peach the way my screen shows. This is a great color to blend out darker browns. I like it with quirkier warm tones. It just adds a deep gold with no shimmer. Great transition color. It's not your typical pale yellow.
Makes a nice transition shade
This doesn't have a ton of pigmentation, however I really like it as a transition shade. But if you already have Canteloupe Slice, I'd say to go ahead & skip this one, as it is extremely similar & you can't really tell a difference on the eye.
Not great at all!
I have been hearing so much about CS for so long I finally decided to try it out. I ordered 13 shadows and a few brushes. 2, maybe 3 I liked. The rest were mediocre at best. This one was one of the ones I was most excited about but probably the worst of the bunch I got. Barely any pigmentation whatsoever. I wish they all had the same formulation! Hoping if I try with primer or wet it will have better pay off but so far no luck
