4 Stars is Fair, But...
CS seems to have discontinued Emerald Ice. THAT green shade is worth 5 stars without a doubt. However, if it's gone for good the Elven collection has a lovely formula, and this green is pigmented and gets the job done. Shades seem to come and go so quickly here I would hate to see this one disappear because of a lack of rave reviews.
It's a pretty color which, on my skin, is a greenish/blue. It's got a shimmery finish and applies pretty smoothly. The color payoff is okay. It is a little lighter than it appears in the picture. Otherwise, it's a great shadow.
not what i expected
This is a very pretty leaf green. It's a little warmer than the picture. Pigmentation is pretty good, the finish is mostly satin but with a few flecks of shimmer.
Though the product photos show you a hint of silver shimmer, in person it's so much more beautiful and elegant than the graphics can convey. The green is the perfect cool jade of a new birch leaf, while the silver shimmer mimics the silky grey of the back of said leaf. I'm absolutely in awe of this colour, and how well it applies dry or wet, how well it blends, and how easily it works with a range of other colours.
