Nude Hot Pot

This is an ivory shadow with a satin shimmer. I have a pale ivory skin tone with yellow undertones and this blends really well into skin leaving a barely there shimmer which I love for when I want to wear a natural look to work - its a great base but also can be used to tone down louder eye shadows as well.

Satin nude

As the description says, this is a satin and not a shimmery nude. Nice to use if you only want a sheen on your cheekbone highlight or eye, but not a shade I reach for, as I tend to prefer more metallic shimmers.

Fleshy Beige + Silver Shimmer = Kinda Nude

On the skin (pale in my case) This color is thickly pigmented flesh- beige when facing indirect light or when cast in shadow (not eyeshadow). When facing direct light it has a silver & gold sheen. Think of it like this: those nude stockings that kind of shine, like the kind ice skaters wear. This is a well manufactured shadow. It’s finely milled, packed in, and has just the right mixture to create an almost cream like texture.

Not as pigmented as I hoped, but still pretty

This shadow is great for an everyday look. It's not as pigmented as I hoped, but it's still pretty for an all over lid color for me.

It's a nice enough shade, good for setting primer

Nice Neutral Color...

I purchased this because the picture looks my beloved Femme Fi by MAC. The color is similar to FF only a little less pink with the undertone--and less pigmentation. Nude a neutral, beige-gold that looks nice on my light-olive complexion; it's a 'your eyes but better' shade for me. If worn over the eye pots Bare Study' (MAC) or 'Golden Sands' (EL) it won't show up. It's a great wash of satin to wear with eyeliner for a very natural 'out the door to run errands' look. It looks better with a crease color added. The pigmentation is more than sheer, but less than opaque. It's also a good wash of base color to apply other colors over. The finish is satin. Another reviewer said it has a shiny finish--but mine isn't shiny. It's too close to my skin color to be a strong highlighter. It's buttery and blends well. It's NOT a substitute for the pigmentation/wear of MAC, but it's lovely if you like light and natural. This goes really well with many of the greens, golds, browns and some of the gold-based blues. For its price-point it's good quality!
