Th photo of this shadow isn't accurate. This is a midnight blue with a hint of purple and some shimmer. Application is ok- pigmentation is sheer and needs to be built up. It's blendable but requires a little more work, no problem though for the price and you can achieve the vibrancy of the color in the pan on your lids with primer and building the pigment.
Blue, not purple
I received this shadow wanting a nice PURPLE, but instead I got a BLUE with a tinge of purple, It is not the color as pictured, even though it is very buttery and easy to blend out, the color it not purple, keep that in mind when purchasing. The formula is great, but very disappointed with the color, probably won't use as much as I wanted to.
AS THE OTHER REVIEWS STATE IT IS MORE BLUE THAN PURPLE BUT IT IS STILL A BEAUTIFUL COLOR. AGAIN .... USE IT WITH A PRIMER UNLESS YOU WAN'T IT TO BE SHEER.
not the best, not the worst
I find that this shadow is neither impressive nor disappointing. It's just in the middle and I don't know how I feel about it. I've worn it a few times and it doesn't have the best lasting power so you definitely need a primer. On the eyelids, the sparkles that you see in the pan don't show up.
More blue than purple
As others have noted, the color is a very blue purple, I would call it a purple tinted indigo. This is not my favorite CS hot pot. The pan feel is rather hard, although not as crisp and dry as some other purples (like Edgy Eggplant). The color goes on relatively sheer, although it is buildable. However it is a pretty color and it does pop my brown eyes, so I am sure I will use it - and be annoyed by the texture every time. Regalia Purple is included in both the Winterberry Palette and the Fall Festival Palette, so if you are planning on buying either palette, don't buy the loose pot.
